Pink Tartan Opens Flagship Store

Fashion 19 Nov 2010

Pink TartanOne of my favourite Canadian labels has at last opened its doors to their new HQ in the heart of Yorkville.  This is an exciting venture for the brand as it spreads its wings from wholesaler to flagship retailer. The store is located at the coveted corner of Yorkville Avenue and Bellair Street in what used to be a heritage home and antiques boutique.  “It’s the perfect marriage of Pink Tartan in this old treasured building,” Kimberley Newport-Mimran told the CBC’s Amanda Lang in a recent interview at her store.  It is certainly the ideal place to attract Toronto’s shopping elite, and her collections prove time and again to be current, chic and ultimately wearable. I believe this is a new beginning for the brand. Congrats Pink Tartan!  Read more here.

Born and raised on Prince Edward Island, now Toronto based, my fascination with beauty began as a child when I would organize my Barbie’s closet rather than play Barbie. Finding every opportunity to write about fashion, during high school and University, I would always pick the most glamorous subjects. My graduate degree in the UK allowed me to explore the History of Dress through literary symbolism and art. I’ve started this blog to share my love for fashion. Enjoy!
